Documentary and Dialog: 'Girl From Birch Creek: The Life and Legacy of Justice Rosalie Wahl'
Watch and discuss the documentary Thursday at 7 p.m. at Marine Village Hall.
Take part in Marine Community Library's first-ever Documentary and Dialog event at Marine Village Hall Thursday at 7 p.m., with a screening of and discussion of the 57-minute historical documentary film Girl From Birch Creek: The Life and Legacy of Justice Rosalie Wahl. Filmmaker Emily Haddad will take part in the discussion.
Rosalie Wahl, a Lake Elmo resident who died in July at the age of 88, was the first woman to serve as a justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court.
The documentary's website describes the project as a "presentation of the Washington County Historical Society, this project has been financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society."
National Public Radio reporter Nina Totenberg narrates the documentary.
